Dr Steven Laureys is an internationally recognized neurologist, scientist, and author with a passion for exploring the mysteries of the human mind. He currently heads the GIGA Consciousness Research Unit at Liège University and is a professor at CERVO Brain Centre in Canada.
With his team and collaborators, Dr Laureys has delved deep into the workings of the brain, studying diverse groups such as Buddhist monks, top-athletes, astronauts, and serial entrepreneurs. Utilizing neurotechnology and brain scanning techniques, they have investigated the effects of meditation, hypnosis, trance, dreaming, psychedelics, and the power of the mind.
Having published over 540 scientific articles, Dr Laureys is at the forefront of mind research, shedding light on the incredible potential of our consciousness. Alongside his academic pursuits, he co-founded the Mind Care International Foundation, advocating for complementary medicine and sustainable mental wellbeing.
